"Recognizing Soreness Behaviors"

This one-day workshop is designed for riding clubs, youth groups and recreational
riders to help them better understand the "whys" of nutrition, condition, foot care and
saddle fit and the vast array of soreness behaviors to which these contribute. A
complete equine massage will be performed so that participants can learn what it is
all about and appreciate and the immediate relief responses of the horse. This
program can be modified to best suit the needs and  interests of your group.

"Maintaining Your Performance Horse", Part 1

This is an intense hands on three-day long weekend designed to teach you how to
recognize soreness behaviors, identify the source and perform a complete
therapeutic equine massage to address it. Considerable evaluation time is spent
and an overview of nutrition, condition, saddle fit and foot care is included as these
are primary causes of soreness. Also included are geriatric horses, crooked legs on
colts, pregnant mares and relieving the ileum cecum valve for colic. Participants may
bring their own horses so they can appreciate first hand the "before and after" and
learn from the health and performance histories and issues of others.  

Includes "Horse Anatomy" book; "HorseSense" by Rowan Emrys; our Sport Horse
handbook; and light, breakfast snacks, lunches and beverages for all three days.  
Practitioner certificates will be presented to those who demonstrate mastery of the
material.

"Maintaining Your Performance Horse", Part 2

This is an intense hands on weekend that will give participants tools for more
difficult and complex issues like stifles and deep pelvic problems and includes the
dynamics of mineralization, high impact stretching, using the t-bar.  An introduction
to chiropractic, acupressure and energy therapies is presented with the techniques
from each to enhance your massage capabilities. This clinic uses some of the most
needy yet appreciative horses around ensuring an impactual weekend for all.  

Includes "Living Energetically" by Rowan Emrys; and light breakfast snacks, lunches
and beverages for all three days. Advanced Practitioner Certificates will be
presented to those demonstrating mastery of the material.
$600 (all participants).
