"These clinics are energetic, motivating, lively and encouraging. I have
attended other equine massage institutions and have walked away with
little to no knowledge and a suffering pocket book. I gained more
knowledge and had more questions answered spending 3 days with this
pair then 8 weeks at another equine massage school in Colorado.
I have never met a more dynamic pair of instructors who love othing more then to make sure that their goal of the clinic “… to help each horse owner learn to read their horses and provide for them accordingly” and the students’ goal of elite education happens successfully in their clinics.
This is a rapid growing area of interest and knowledge and Jan and Jerry are on top of it! Every question that came to my mind was answered eagerly, demonstrated well, and followed through with a hands-on technique until I felt comfortable and secure.

"What an AWESOME experience! 3 jam-packed days of total
equine massage training. Jan Scott and Jerry Gaddis of Sport
Horse Massage Therapy know horses inside and out and
deliver their information in a way that is both fun and easily
assimilated. Both instructors have their own styles of teaching
which come together very well, offering the student a well
rounded approach to equine massage.I could have spent more
money and time at a larger school, but the extensive training I
received from Jan and Jerry was invaluable to my learning
experience.
Each day began with relaxed bookwork and discussion
sessions. The bulk of the day was all hands-on horse
massage, which included emphasis on reading the horse for
problems. There were many horses at the ran
ch to work on,
but we had field trips to other barns where we experienced a
broad range of therapeutic challenges. I feel I came away from
this educational experience with as much or more knowledge
and ability than I would have if I had attended a pricier school
of longer duration. What’s more, with the one-on-one attention
and honest constructive critique I received from Jan and Jerry,
I came away with the confidence and ability to approach and
massage any horse in any barn I encounter.
Both horses and owners have complimented me on the
massage techniques I learned in my training. Whenever I have
questions or concerns, I always feel comfortable about e-
